Phenotyping
Pictures of the plants are taken automatically once a day (once the light is on). In addition, plants are harvested each 2 to 3 days for different destructive measurements to measure a set of leaf growth variables from the cells to whole rosette:
- total rosette area
- number of leaves
- individual leaf area
- epidermal cell number in leaf 6
- epidermal cell area in leaf 6
- extent of endoreduplication in leaf 6
- thickness of leaf 6
- contribution of internal tissues to leaf thickness
